When it comes to improving memory, it's more to do with technique than ability. Memory improvement techniques have been developed to aid you in remembering lists, numbers, dates, names etc, and what most of them have in common is that they usually involve using the imaginitive part of your mind. Your ability to picture an object in your minds eye is utilized to help you remember certain things. A shopping list for example, several techniques involve placing these objects in an imaginary memory palace, stored away for when you need to recall them. Techniques for memorizing numbers vary widely, from using the memory palace technique with objects that rhyme with the numbers, to mnemonic systems which involve substituting a number for a letter and forming words or the names of objects which can easily be remembered.
Throughout this section I will introduce you to various memory enhancement techniques that are easy to learn and very effective for improving certain aspects of your memory. An enhanced memory opens the doors to increased IQ and exceptional brainpower that can give you the status of a genius. Memory techniques can be a very useful as brain training exercise because of the visualization aspect to many of the techniques I will introduce you to.
The aim of these memory techniques is to transfer information from the short term memory into the long term, so that you won't have the trouble of forgetting things as soon as you hear them. When used properly, and in a way you find most comfortable, youw will find that the memory techniques I will discuss are very useful and can be applied to many different situations. Good luck.
